Organ and body donation

I've finally got around to signing up as an organ donor, since England still has the archaic opt-in system. That said, it turned out to be very quick and easy, so I thought I'd post the link to the page to encourage other English people to do the same:

I'll try to find some similar links for other opt-in countries and post them here soon.

Meanwhile, a question for anyone who feels well-informed enough to answer it - do you know if organ donation precludes giving your body to science? If not, does anyone know what the most beneficial area of research to give yourself to would be? If it does, then which would be the most beneficial option between organ and body donation is?

I know that it doesn't preclude giving your body to medial students because one of the cadavers in our dissecting room has had its eyes donated. I don't think I would consider education as beneficial as various areas of research though. But it's an personal question for me because if I see some dramatically high-utility medical area (or medical research area) I might work in it.
