Hi Rupert, welcome to the forum. Nice to have a mathematician around - I think most of us are interested (if not necessarily competent) in the subject

Yes, I really enjoy maths and one of the disadvantages of the career path that I've taken (medicine) is that not many doctors use maths very much. Or rather they don't use interesting maths very much.

I don't consider myself a consequentialist but I consider consequentialism a viable moral theory. I am a vegan and I have joined Toby Ord's organisation "Giving What We Can".
