Singer Translation

Postby phanyx on 2009-06-16T18:06:00

Hello everybody,
I'm not sure this the right place for this, I was recommended it by Pablo Stafforini who used to maintain a website on utilitarianism. Here's the thing: I have translated Peter Singer's paper "Famine, Affluence and Morality" into french and I would like to share it. Do you have any idea where I could post it for people to be able to find it easily? I of course want no money, just that my name appears clearly (I'm a student currently and I might use this translation so I don't want any of my teachers to think that I have stolen it from the Web...)
Thank you very much for your answers !

Hi phanyx. I'm a big fan of that essay, so it's great that you've translated it! Is Pablo not able to host it on his own page, next to the English version of the article? (Pablo's version is the one linked to by the Wikipedia article on the paper.) Utilitarianism.com may be another good place to consider. At worst, I'd be glad to link to it from my page, though it might not fit as naturally.

Hi.
Superb. Singer's work should be translated into as many languages as possible.
Yes, if you email me (dave@hedweb.com) the translation as an attachment I'll html-ise it and upload it to utilitarianism.com
