Paul Bloom: Why do we like what we like?

To a classical utilitarian such as me, pleasure is enormously important. The misunderstanding of pleasure is a huge contributor to misunderstanding of utilitarianism. I came across Paul Bloom's book How Pleasure Works in a bookstore, and was naturally drawn to it. I think these videos might contribute to a more sophisticated understanding of pleasure and its causes. The lectures aren't from an ethical perspective at all, but in addition to be scientifically interesting, they could have practical implications:

Thank you for the share!

I listened to the audiobook, the content is good (learned new things), but the narrator was not the author (and didn't know the pronunciation of many important words). Worth a listen in the car :D
