Comics

Hi, I suppose I used to consider comics a pretty low form of humour, but since I've been referred to a couple of great ones on the internet, I've learnt that they can bring a lot of joy.

For a start, I bring you the webcomic xkcd]. It is artistically simple, written by Randall Monroe, a man who is qualified in linguistics, programming and physics, who has worked for NASA, who is sometimes immature but almost always funny. I highly reccommend it.

I would love to present you a few individual webcomics from a couple of other sources. (Three Panel Soul, Flowfield Unity).

Lastly, I'll introduce you to the webcomic Cyanide and Happiness from http://www.explosm.net. It is very immature and politically incorrect, so I would only reccommend it if that sounds like your cup of tea. Here's a sample:

So please let me know whether we share as much taste in comics or humour generally. What are your favourite funny websites?

Yeah, I've read a comic or two at each of those websites. The ones you've linked to are brilliant!
I suppose I might as well link another one:
Cectic (it's very strongly charged with atheism and skepticism)

I've recently fallen madly in love with Scary Go Round:

a story-based comic which I've read and my brother has just got into is the story-based comic Questionable Content
It's very funny. It's actually mis-named, there's nothing questionable about its content except for probably the overrepresentation of indie-music in-jokes and cute robots. It's great stuff though. A favourite:

edit: that ScaryGoRound looks like it might be worth a further look.

I've been addicted to Questionable Content for a while. Trouble is, I don't actually like it. Get out while you still can, Ryan!

Another one I'm addicted to, that I genuinely enjoy is Looking for Group. It basically only has one joke, but it's a joke that I'm still not tired of after some 200-odd strips:

Not really into webcomics. I was going to link to one named "Lump of Clay" but it's broken.

Some favorite humor websites: bash.org, McSweeney's, Something Awful, the Onion.

The Onion seems like very very funny satirical news. Speaking of which, I follow the satirical news ofThe Chaser. They wrote this news before they began their TV show and it's still steadily flowing from their website www.chaser.com.au/. I think it's truly top class stuff.

If this is humor websites in general, I recommend Loading Ready Run. They make a live action video every week.
