It's funny how much we (and the woman in the video) are primed to expect the bird to embrace life in the wilderness. I think I'd be lingering in the box too...

I assume it's a rescue penguin? I know it's not evidence for wild animal suffering (children can be similarly hesitant about their first day at school, after all, and end up loving it) but I thought it was an interesting counter-example to the stereotypical image of captured animals clambering to rush back to the wild.

yea defo, i think often videos like that are of aquatic animals and if you're an aquatic animal chucked into some water you're not gonna beach yourself
