Wild-animal brochure

A reader of my website put together an excellent pamphlet on "Life in the Wild," which I've added to my page: pdf or docx. Many thanks to the author for composing this!

Fabulous. Will link people to it.

Another thought from the convo I had with Jasper Sky: Maybe we shouldn't be too worried that spreading concern for wild animal suffering is controversial and unheard of, indeed perhaps those are good things. It's different & controversial so it's easier to get publicity, and I'm thinking more and more that nearly all publicity is good publicity. At the end of the day, cults and religions thrive on being weird and different - they've got implausible stories or weird rituals - people can be very drawn in by ideas that are different! Weirdness and controversy is great for meme propagation.

Great. :P BTW, there's now also a scanned version of the pamphlet, which the author sent me because I couldn't get the formatting to display nicely when building the original one.

Hmm, I'm not sure. PETA may be a case in point. It's hard for me to say whether PETA has caused more harm than good. But I think it's clearly the case that funds donated to PETA could have done much more good in other hands.

Interesting; something to think about.
