Undercover investigation inside the british pig industry

Postby Daniel Dorado on 2012-02-12T14:15:00

A new shocking Animal Equality undercover investigation, which has been featured in the lead page of The Sunday Times this morning, has carried out a ground-breaking two-month undercover investigation into a ‘Quality Assured’ (Red Tractor) farm in Norfolk - Harling Farm, belonging to A. J. Edwards & Son.

Thanks for sharing, Dani.

In better pig news, people may have seen from HSUS that McDonald's “wants to see the end of sow confinement in gestation stalls in [its] U.S. supply chain.”

Leí el artículo en Público.es, sorprendido por su titular, que hace un uso ofensivo de lenguaje tendencioso en contra de Igualdad Animal

Hallan muerto al dueño de la granja denunciada por Igualdad Animal

I read the article in Público.es (Spanish newspaper), surprised by its headline, which makes an offensive use of loaded words against Animal Equality

Pig farmer reported by Animal Equality found dead

Without the public demand for animal products, billions of sentient beings would be able to live their life, as they have the right to do so, without misery and exploitation.

Where did they get that from? It sounds like they're referring to the farmed animals, but they wouldn't exist. Do they mean wild animals that would live in the area farms occupy?

Which would also make it false since wild animals don't live without misery. Not even humans live without misery and exploitation.

A lot of animal rights activists are harming their own cause with such naive simplifications. I know of no causal process whatsoever that would get us to a world where the majority of sentient beings live without misery and exploitation. I would not be able to create such a world even if I could give direct orders to every human on the planet.

I agree with you that is an unfortunate sentence.
