A volunteer opportunity for your veg friends

[Apologies to those for whom this information is not new.]

One very efficient way to help animals is what I describe in this piece: "How to Give Encouragement to Several New Vegetarians in Just a Few Minutes."
A few organizations are running Highly Efficient Online Veg Ads linking to sites like The Hidden Face of Food and ag-laws.info. In addition to viewing the video, many people leave comments "like oh my goodness! i'm officially vegan!!" or "OMG I WILL NOT EAT MEAT SINCE TODAY:(" [...]

We can support these new vegetarians by "liking" their statements, which takes just a few seconds but could mean a lot in terms of social validation. We can also reply with suggestions on veg reading or with observations about the unequal impact of different animal products. [...]

To see the latest comments, click the button with the down arrow that says something like 20,624 comments and sort Reverse Chronological. Of course, you can also comment on the most popular responses (and the ones shown by default) with the Social Ranking sort.

This is a great opportunity where even non-utilitarians and people who don't want to get involved with organizational administration/planning can make a huge impact. They can spend as much or as little time on it as they want, and they don't have to order brochures or stand outside like with conventional leafleting.

If you know anyone interested, he/she can do so on his/her own, but feel free also to contact me and Nick Cooney -- ncooney [put the at symbol here] farmsanctuary [put the dot here] org.

In addition to commenting on these ads, I think funding them is very cost-effective, and I will be doing so through a custom request to Vegan Outreach that I made this year.
