Effective charitable giving - Oxford-based internship

Hi felicifa,

I'm writing to let you know about an internship opportunity with Giving What We Can, an organisation that promotes effective charitable giving. Founded by an Oxford philosopher Toby Ord (who studied with Peter Singer), this is an org mostly run by students. The goal is to evaluate charities (so it's kind of a meta-charity) on their effectiveness and to donate to those that can save the most "quality life years." We've found that some charities can be thousands of times more effective than others, and we've diverted millions of dollars of pledged aid to the most effective ones in the world.

This is an awesome utilitarian initiative to be a part of. Please consider taking part in our 2-week internship programme in September. We would appreciate your help - the org is growing fast and needs your input. We have a Cost-Effectiveness Research Internship if you're of a quantitative mind, an Operations Internship that has to deal with legal research, if you have a background in that; and we have a few opportunities in Communications as well.

If this sounds interesting, check out the details and how to apply here: http://givingwhatwecan.org/getting-involved/work-with-us/september-internship

Thank you for your interest.
