A while ago, I was reading an essay by Peter Suber (the paradox of self-amendment) and ran across Russell's paradox mentioned in it. I had heard of Bertrand Russell at some point, and being very interested in paradoxes, I read some about the paradox, and incidentally, about Russell himself.
At the same time, I was interested (and still am) in "Happiness economics," the measurement of happiness as part of an index (Go GNH!). So, between Happiness ideas and English philosophers, I found utilitarianism, and after a while of roaming the internet looking for recent information about it, I came across this very website.
Now, I don't know a whole lot about utilitarianism, except for the basics of it, but I'm excited to learn more about it and hopefully practice it!
Thanks
